What we learned building it, and what we found measuring it.
Deep-dives from production work on AI, the edge and search — plus original research into the state of the UK web, run with our own audit engine.
Original research
Studies we ran ourselves, on samples nobody else has published.
We Audited 30,091 UK Business Websites. 78 Got an A.
A four-nation, 134-check study across 11 sectors and 47 English counties. Speed barely predicts quality — the fastest sites in Britain are the emptiest ones — and nine of thirteen regional outliers turned out to be the local business mix, not the place.
We Audited 3,642 UK Hospitality Websites. 101 Passed.
A 134-check audit of 3,642 independent UK restaurants, pubs and cafés across 50 counties. Only 101 met Google's page-speed threshold — and a quarter need a CDN, not new hosting.
